The iApplicants™ Approach to Applicant Tracking
From the very beginning, we took a different approach to designing our system. First, we picked our target market, and it was the exact opposite of all of the competition. We focused on building a system for smaller employers. We say this means from 20 to 2000 employees, but our core client base is 50 to 1000 employees. Best estimates say that as many as 90% of these businesses don’t have an applicant tracking system. We determined that the reason for lack of adoption was high costs and ease of use. Based on that finding, we set our pricing model first, and then designed a system and a company that would ensure that we could sell and maintain iApplicants™ at that price level.
A Unique Pricing Model
Because of this very specific focus, our pricing model is completely different than the rest of the industry. First off, pricing purely based on number of users didn’t seem to result in fair pricing for smaller businesses, or fair pricing based on use. Honestly, it is almost impossible to create a fair pricing model that would charge each client based on the use without it turning into something similar to filing your taxes to come up with a price. So, we looked for the most simple and fair, method we could think of.
- Pricing Based on Employees -The iApplicants™ system license fee is based on the number of employees in a company, and provides an affordable site for all employers from 20 to 2000. The system includes a single HR login that can be shared and used by the entire HR staff, at the same time, at no additional cost. Most of our smaller employers don’t need any additional logins besides this one, so they are simply paying the annual or quarterly licensing fee. iApplicants™ employee based licensing fees range from $700 to $3000 per year.
- Additional Restricted Logins for Hiring/Department Managers -If you need to provide restricted logins for your department mangers or other users in your company, there is a small additional fee for each of these logins, only it is no where near the industry standard of $59 to $99 per month per login. We generally charge less than 10% of the going rate for restricted logins. That means the monthly price for an iApplicants™ restricted login is probably less than you spent on lunch today.
- The Average iApplicants™ Client Costs - The average client of iApplicants™ spends less than $1500 per year for their system. That isn’t $1500 per year per user, that is $1500 per year total. If you look around, that is 20% to 40% of the going rate of the competition.
